Mono Green Phyrexia

So many different versions of a really funny deck. The concept is; turn 1, do nothing. turn 2, put down a small infect creature (Blight Mamba, Ichorclaw Myr, etc.). Turn 3, attack, they don't block because "well it's only 1 poison and now he's open", then you Giant Growth, Giant Growth, and Landswell. Game. I've even seen a green/blue variant that uses unsummons to make sure they don't block. Personally, I just finished the one in the MTG site(http://www.wizards.com/Magic/Magazine/Article.aspx?x=mtg/daily/boab/114) and it's really a gamble deck. Opinions? Suggestions?

  1. I quit magic when those first sets came out with "invincibility" and all the dozens of new abilities that rendered a lot of old decks obsolete. I'm excited to see this blog though, because I used to be an avid Magic player and I still have my binders and decks of cards in my rooms.

What's your opinion on the new cards vs. old? Anyway, nice blog. I'll be keeping in touch hopefully.

  2. oh yeah I feel ya on that. I never played a lot of the old stuff, but it's interesting to see my friends using those cards. I think I'll make a new blog post about the differences I've noticed and their usefulness.
